The State Dining Room
The silk-lined State Dining Room is not to be missed. A wonderfully atmospheric space adorned in shades of deep red, it seats up to 60 people for dinner. With an absence of overhead electric lights, the candle chandelier provides a romantic glow. The State Dining Room is also suggested as the perfect area in which to enjoy a rehearsal dinner the night before your big day.
The room dates from the restoration of the Stuart monarchy and is the last room in the enfilade of state rooms erected in hope of the new kings visit in 1640.
