The Cake Room

The Cake Room makes an impressive space to showcase the most expensive cake that you are ever likely to buy!

Dating from 1640 the room is part of the enfilade of state rooms that were designed by Inigo Jones. Originally known as the Hogarth Room the room is dressed in shades of green and cream and makes for an impressive backdrop for your cake display.

Interconnecting with the Salon the room is also sometimes used as a dining extension to the Salon. Comfortably seating 20 at round tables the room allows for 140 guests to be served between it and the Salon.

The Cake Room is also sometimes used to stage a ‘receiving line’ when dinner is announced for couples who want to make sure that they at least get to say ‘hello’ in person to everyone of their guests!
